04 Hyperflash

I have seen a few threads in here and some other wrangler forums but none that truly answered my question. I recently replaced my stock tail light bulbs with new LEDs. And of course..they hyperflash. I went on superbrightleds and found the article on the relays but the one I purchased (there are no wrangler specific, or jeep for that matter) doesn't fit. What are my options. I enjoy the look and brightness of the LEDs but at this point they aren't worth the hassle.

You need to replace the flasher relay assembly that is in the steering column. You can buy a name brand version (Poison Spyder, MCE or Metal Cloak) or a generic one off Amazon. The earlier year TJs use a 4 pin module and newer (01-06) use a 5 pin module.

This is what I use on my TJ that has LED front turn signals and rear turn signals / brake lights:

Got rid of the hyperflash by just swapping out the stock one for this one.

These puppies (resistors) get really hot, so make sure to install them somewhere they won't cause issues if you go this route.
