WTB: 05/06 manual shift surround

Wanting to buy a '05/'06 shift surround for manual transmission. Don't want/need "the bag", just the plastic piece. Need it to experiment on for using a rubber shift boot without fecking up my original.

Isn't there a post in one of the 3D print threads for a file that allows you to print a shifter bezel that works with the rubber boot? Let me see if I can dig it up.

Yes.

I was going to suggest cutting a hole in a piece of abs plastic. I have the tuffy console and that's how I made a rubber boot work on my 2006.

I have that covered - I found a 3D print file. I don't particularly want to pry the old crap off of my one and only bezel if I can scare up another one for a decent price - but I will if I must. I'm just overly cautious.

Its an adapter, not the full bezel.

How did it work? I replaced my bag and don't have the metal frame that attaches to it to keep it in place under the bezel. I was thinking of printing the adapter and going to a rubber boot. Does the adapter create a problem with shifter clearance when changing to the rubber boot?

I haven't got it on yet - that's why I'm looking for another stock bezel...
