05 Rubicon u joint

Good afternoon,

How do you replace the front driveshaft u joint on a 05 LJ rubicon that connects the driveshaft to the yoke. I dont see any plastic to melt or or snap clips to pop off. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried spraying them with a penetrating lube and seeing if they'll move?
I use a ball joint press for all mine and I'd see if the will budge with a good bit of pressure.

The plastic is injected through the small holes you can see in the yoke. It’s there. The plastic will shear as the joints are removed.

Ahhhh... ok, Heat and pressure it is. How would the replacement joint secure in?

There will be c clips that pop over on the inside of the ears

As you heat it with the torch, you'll see the plastic start to come out of those little holes.
