05 Rubicon whining noise

Hello, my 05 Rubi has a high pitched whining that is only audible at 80kms and above, doesn’t stop if you let off gas or put the clutch in. Cannot hear it under 80kms.
Any ideas what this could be? Sounds like front end but hard to tell for sure when driving.
Also have codes 0344, 0455, 0456 & 0457 I don’t think the evap codes would have bearing on this.

Whining noises at higher speeds could indicate an issue with the gears or bearings inside the differential. It's best to have a professional mechanic inspect and diagnose this issue further to provide a definitive answer.

Regarding the trouble codes you mentioned (0344, 0455, 0456, and 0457), they are related to different components of your vehicle. The P0344 code is for a camshaft position sensor malfunction, while the P0455, P0456, and P0457 codes pertain to the evaporative emission control system. These codes most likely have nothing to do with the whine, though I do worry that you could possibly have an OPDA that is going bad (I'd inspect that just to be sure before your engine grenades).

You've got a lot going on here and all those codes at once could be something as simple as a short somewhere in the wiring.

You're going to need some good mechanic skills, otherwise you're going to need to pay a good mechanic.

I would start with taking out the front driveshaft and just eliminate that is a culprit because you do not want him to fail regardless.

To second Chris you have a lot going on and you got a jeep that is older and it just probably needs quite a bit of maintenance. People get so bent on having a good time with these things that they just run them into the ground at times.

I’m not saying that’s the case with yours but you do live in a harsh environment and most the ones that I get my hands on I have to be resurrected to some extent.

I will try the driveshaft. I do maintain my vehicle fairly well I think. Regularly change all fluids, grease it, anything weird noise wise it goes to the shop. I don’t drive her in the winter and it’s just a summer toy not a daily.
I was just trying to get an idea of what this maybe before I call the shop, I like to be educated.
