05 Sport stereo goes off but comes back on when I turn lights on.

Just last night my 05 started doing something strange. The stereo went off and the odo light seemed to be flashing some. When I turned the parking lights on the problem went away. It eventually stopped doing it completely but I am sire it will happen again. It doesnt have factory fogs if that makes a difference. Where to start? MPS?
 
Now the nest time I drove it it had no power the first time I turned the key. Second time started right up. Not sure where to start.
