With the 31" tires my 3.07 rear end don't cut it, was thinking about going to 3.73 gears. Undecided whether to swap out both assemblies or change ring and pinion. I have the prospects of buying a 30 front and 44 rear. Comments and help appreciated.

If you have the chance to get a 44 with the ratio you already want, I'd go that route considering that price wise it will probably be pretty close to a wash to regear your rear dana 35 versus buying the 44 used.
