2.4 Crankshaft Position Sensor

I think what I’m gonna do is disconnect that sensor on Monday (under the oil filter) and find out what it is. I’m almost positive that’s your issue. Id do it today because I’m off in a couple hours but it’s wet from the storms last night.

That would be very much appreciated

By the way, since you’ve done the work to take the cover off, do a timing job (and water pump).

Planning to, might as well order that kit off rockauto while I'm waiting on mail delivery and testing time of the PCM.
Don't want to have to do the whole cover again

Hi sr, wondering if you have any luck solving the problem? It was the pcm bad?

Hi! wondering if someone with the 2.4l could help me find out if im supposed to have a ground in this place of the engine block?

There are two holes with thread but the one in the left has a mark around it like if something was there before. I know that the 4.0 has one ground around that area and one in the back.

Any info will be very helpful,
Thanks

The most probable factor in restoring mine to running was splicing in a new connection to ground for the PCM directly into the wiring harness near that plug. PCM was not bad
