2.4 reliability

I am sure this topic is asked quite a bit but I am new to the Jeep world. I have bought a 2006 Jeep Wrangler with 122,000 miles. It is a one owner in excellent condition inside and out. My question is how reliable is the 2.4 engine with proper maintenance? It runs like a sewing machine and is backed by the six speed manual. Thanks

Very reliable.

Very. Almost as reliable as the 2.5 or 4.0. Close enough that you'll never notice the difference anyway. Proper maintenence is key, as always.

It's junk. At 122k, do you know if the timing belt has been changed? The recommendation is 120K.

Mine is at 105K and runs like a champ.

Not sure about the timing belt but I am going to find out and if not I will definitely have it a new one installed.
