Chasing down an occasional engine misfire that makes the jeep buck/hesitate.
Happens when the engine under load, but not consistent.
I have replaced, with Mopar parts...
Crankshaft sensor
Distributor and rotor and plug wires, all Mopar. 174k on the clock. 30rh automatic.

No engine codes whatsoever.

Plan is to try a Mopar camshaft sensor next week.

Could the coil be weak or wearing out? ...idk

Could a failing camshaft sensor show this symptom?

What else could cause this? with no engine codes, may have to throw parts at the problem, ugh..

SOLVED! The mechanic who last worked on the engine, installing a new serpentine belt as PM... well he left off the spark plug wire on the #2 cylinder spark plug.
Who was the dense mechanic? Me. 😣 Lesson learned. Be thorough and recheck your work.
