Just a little update on this. Haven't made any purchases on a lift or tries yet, but have been getting a few things done to it. The truck had a clunking/clanging sound coming from the front end when you hit a bump. After a quick inspection, found one of the front shocks was bad and the bushings for the sway bar was shot. Put on a set of Monroe Reflex shocks, new steering stabilizer, and sway bar bushings. Fixed all the noises coming from the front and really tightened up the steering. After that little project, had to replace the glow plug relay. It was having some cold start issues, so tested the relay and it was bad. Also replaced the cab running lights with LED's and new lenses, and been getting the interior cleaned up to my standards. Up next is looking into an exhaust system. This truck has lived it's entire life in Illinois. It's relatively rust free, as it was only used in the winter to plow snow. Part of the exhaust system was either ripped off, or rusted out and was removed at one point. Once I get that taken care of, the lift and ties will be next. I've decided a leveling kit for the front and 285/75/16's are the route I'm going. My biggest question is just do the mini coil packs for the front, or try and find a roughly 2" lifted leaf spring for the front. From what I've read, these leaf springs can fatigue and sag over time and the fact this truck has had a snow plow on it, is it best just to get those old leaf springs replaced? Not familiar enough with leaf springs to know if there are any signs of them needing replaced. I joined a Powerstroke forum, but so far, I've gotten more feedback on here about the truck.
