Quick question. I pulled the throttle body and cleaned it out. Pulled the IAC valve and cleaned as well. Installed with a new Mopar gasket and torqued it to 100 inch pounds as that's the spec I could find. When started in the cold, around 0 Celsius, it revs to 2-2100 rpm. After about 30 seconds it begins to drop and seems to settle at 1100. Once driven and at operating temperature, idles around 800. Double checked for vacuum leaks and couldn't find any. Not sure if this is correct but wasn't like this before. It's a 2002 with the 4.0 and five speed transmission.

There's an air (vacuum) leak either where the throttle body seats to the intake manifold or where the IAC seats in the throttle body.
Ok. That's what I'm thinking. I'll pull the IAC Sunday and check that again. Thanks for the reply
There is a hard to see (I think) vacuum line that folks often forget about.
Did you by chance rotate the pintle on the IAC? Some say it not adjustable but I have 3 of them here and they are adjustable. However I cant recall if the original is or should say was. The Standard Ignition one even came with adjustment instructions per application as the same one fits many vehicles. Ive installed 2 aftermarkets,new O rings bla,bla and one new Mopar one and the idle never goes below 900 if that if it sits for several seconds. Ive done the comp reset several times overnight even and still. Kinda weird and annoying.
