I have a 2000 Sahara White Tan hardtop, Auto, 4.0, A/C, 160,000 miles was a Phoenix, AZ jeep. Has been in Ohio going on 3 yrs. Has been sprayed with Fluid Film every fall. This thing is MINT I'm 2nd owner original owner was a lady that drove it only on pavement. It's bone stock. I need to get a Fair Market Value on it. I paid $10K for it. Yes this Jeep is absolutely RUST FREE,

I'll try to post some pics later.
1st. I got was $4,500. I believe this appraisal is far off.

If there's truly no rust on the frame, then yes, $4500 is quite low for that mileage/year/trim. A basic principle of economics is that something is worth what people will pay for it. I think you'd find a lot of people even on this site would would gladly pay more than $4500 for a Jeep in the condition you've described. The hardtop alone is worth $750-1000.

You should be able to easily get what you paid for it if it is in mint condition as you say.

10k seems reasonable if the frame is truly rust-free. That said, values tend to drop a little in the winter.

Last December I bought my jeep which was a 2000 Sahara White Tan hardtop, Auto, 4.0, A/C, 158,000 miles in great condition and I gave $9,600 for it and felt I got a fair deal. Here in middle TN, a jeep in that description generally lists for around $12,000 but can usually be had for around $10,000 give or take a few bucks.

Yours looks like a twin to my Jeep.

It would sell for around $8,000 here. List it high and see what happens. I sold my 00' Sahara with new 33" tires/wheels and less mileage (132,000) for $9,000 and bought my "then" stock one owner Rubicon for $9500 (126,000 miles). I sold my lower mileage (101,000) 99' Sahara with hardtop for $7,000.

This guy is a good buyer. Knows his way around TJ's.

4500.00 is someone trying to cash in ,hard pass.

Grant Gilbert would give you 9000.00 probably and sell it for 12,500-13,000 at Gilbert Jeeps in Athens, Alabama likely.

Don't give that away.

I sold my 03' with 27,000 miles, lifted on new 35s for $13,500 to a small car dealership 2 hours away. I checked his website and he was asking $18,500 for it. He sold it within 3 days. We both made money on it. I only had $10,000 total invested.

You 've a had a few....how many so far man...

Thanks everyone for the backup on my idea of Fair Market Value.
I'm offering to sell it to my company, but I wont take a bath on it.
Either I get FMV or I'll keep it.
