New here and to Jeeps.
Did some research but still would like some feedback and opinions.
I have a 2002 wrangler X with 4.0 6 Cylinder
134k miles
I am having the hard starting issue.
After sitting over night it will sometimes start at first turn of key. Much easier to start
After being driven (up to temp)and stopping anywhere for example gas, store it starts mostly on the 3rd turn of the key.
From research the usual issues are fuel pump/regulators or heat soak.
Seems i have 2 options for fuel pumps
Option 1
Order the delphi FG1353 complete assembly.
Is this the correct part number for the 2002?
I have just been reading lots of mixed reviews on the quality.
Option 2
Order Bosch (69316) which is only the fuel pump and strainer.
Is this piece plug and play in the OEM assembly?
If I go with option 2 i would also order
Mopar Fuel Pressure Regulator (part number 4798 301)
to replace while i have the tank out.
