Finished up the carpet install last night. Also added additional USB ports and cleaned up all wiring that had been done by the PO and installed a hitch. Total time was 2 days. The Jeep came with Medium Camel (KG code) and Kelly Green/Camel seats. We replaced the carpet with ACC Essex with Mass backing in Cream. The carpet comes in a box and is rolled up. They say to let it sit in the sun to return to shape. I found that works, but to then take it out in the sun again for about 1/2 hour before you are ready to install that piece. It makes it much easier to fit, but the backing gets super hot. Be prepared for that.

ACC recommends to start at the firewall and work back. We started at the back worked forward. The thought was to get familiar with the product and install in the areas that were easy and tackle to the front with a little experience. The back was actually more difficult to do because it is what is seen the most. We did add the rockers and glad we did, it gives a nice finished touch.

There is a lot of trimming, so make sure you have plenty of blades. The mass backing does a number on them. Most of the cut outs from ACC we’re close, but lots of adjustment must be made when trying to match. We took it for a ride last night, soft top, no windows and we couldn’t believe the difference in road noise. The mass backing is worth the money. The carpet and floor mats total came to $1k from summit racing.
The carpet is wonderful and feels great to the touch. This is my wife’s DD and is a pavement princess. We will throw the hardtop on in July and head to Colorado (Grand county) and will hit some of the trails, but nothing heavy. Wouldn't want to break a nail on the girl....

The contrasting carpet and mat picture is the color difference from what we ordered to OEM. Also included a pic of the two carpets together so you see the difference.

We noticed the rear seat brackets were in wrong when we install the back seat. It was time for a break and a beer.
