I bought a project 2002 jeep tj 4.0 manual months back It has over 200k miles on it complete basket case top to bottom nothing was done right on it and i mean everything lol. I finally welded the frame re installed the engine attempted a test drive today anything over 15-20Mph If i hit the gas I have a SEVERE Vibration shakes the dash and everything i let off It coasts no prob. It has a 2 inch body lift with I think a 3-4 inch suspension lift i dont know exactly due to me getting it like this . It also has brand new 33 inch tires I am not sure if this is a driveshaft angle issue or what I have a 1 1/4 tcase drop on it with some extra washers. Here is some pics of my driveshaft. Any suggestions appreciated Also all the Ujoints are new I changed those first.

That angle doesn't look too terrible. It definitely sounds familiar. I have a similar lift (no tcase drop) and I'm experiencing vibration but not that crazy. Does the vibration also happen while braking and coming to a slow stop or just on acceleration? How does the rear differential look?

The rear diff looks ok no bearing noises ect just on acceleration its not a brake issue if i accelerate it shakes like crazy the second i let off the gas or hit the clutch it goes away I just ordered a angle tool off amazon so I can see what its at.

After a ton of searching I noticed this thing doesnt have a motor mount lift I ordered one hopefully it will help enough to get things into adjustment. Im already to deep into this jeep to do a SYE ect I see a kit for $550 with a driveshaft but idk... I talked to the old owner he said he only had minor viberation so hopefully I can get it back to something driveable...

Ujoints in the rear driveshaft could be toast. I would consider replacing ujoints and having that driveshaft balanced.

they are brand new it was the first thing i did today It cant be a balance issue with this severe of a viberation i cant even get past 20 mph.

Driveshafts like that want equal operating angles at each joint. Mml and transfer case drop or sye and adjustable arms.

How much slop is in the driveshaft splines? That wouldn't help

I dont remember there being much slop but I will check tomorrow.

If it were me, the first thing I would try would be lowering that transfer case even more (with more spacers / washers).

It could be that it's simply not low enough for a 3-4" suspension lift.

I had an inch TC drop on a 2.5" lift (I didn't install it, don't know if it's overkill.). Definitely possible it's not low enough.

Your rotors might warped, especially if you feel it in the steering wheel and brake pedal as opposed to the seat.

I thought about that but the vibration still remains after a full brake upgrade. No vibration on pedal or steering wheel. Brakes are solid and smoothe. I'll be doing the SYE and driveshaft in the fall so we'll see. The vibration isn't terrible.

Motor mount lift made the angle look a bit beter nevertheless it didnt help. Im dropping the tcase more tomorrow

It looks to me like your pinion is too high. Of course lowering that will just aggravate the drive shaft angles. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. You need an SYE and DC drive shaft I think.
