2004 Rubicon Leak

Was out wheeling a bit on Saturday. When I was done I noticed this stain on the transfer case cover front drive side end. Not sure what to think of it. Does it have anything to do with a strong smell I get when I am hard on the clutch wheeling up a rock or incline. It’s like an oily/burnt clutch smell.

I wonder if it’s from my known power steering leak. Didn’t think it could blow that far back, but I was putting more pressure on the steering than normal.
