2004 TJ LED light issue

I have a 2004 TJ Rubicon. I installed led headlights last year, no issues. Recently I installed front and rear led signal/markers and tail lights. The tail lights came with resistors and I installed them with the lights. My issue seems to be with the flasher relay.

With the factory relay, everything works finewith the lights off. When I turn the lights on I get hyperflash for the turn signals but the hazard are ok.

I installed an EP27 Led relay, and had hyperflash issues again.

I installed a Novita brand EP27 and had the same issues.

From posts on here, I installed an LM470. Signals are good with lights on and off. The issue is with the hazards. The relays clicks extremely fast to the point the lights can't even light on and off. This is with the lights on and off.

I tried the D0126 Offroad only relay. This made all the lights work as they should, no hyperflash at all. All seemed fine until I put the hazards on for 10-15 seconds and my radio turns on...key in my pocket.

Has anyone used any other relays to correct the hyperflash issues? Anyone else have the radio turn on with the offload relay? Any worries with the offload relay draining the battery?

Yes I did. No resistors on the fronts. They say canbus ready, I don't think TJ has the canbus communication. I know there is a post about wiring the side markers to a 3 wire setup or something. That might help with hyperflash, but that already seems fixed with the relays. Really just wondering why the radio turns on with no key in the ignition but hazards are on.

The TJ does not have CANBUS.

Those front side markers are what's causing your issues. Either revert them to incandescent bulbs (which is what I did) or you have to address the floating ground issue:

Not that it has anything to do with the lighting situation , but doesn't the TJ have CANBUS on the warning light , gauges , sensor circuit ?

You may be right. I didn’t think that it did but looking into it now I think you are correct.

Should light for both single case uses (turn signal OR running light) and I would expect no voltage difference to still shut it off (turn signal and running light) just like the factory setup.

That’s a good idea! Certainly worth a try.
