I'm planning on doing large builds to finally delve deeper into how my TJ works, now that I've got room to spare in my garage.

FYI: this is probably going to contain an assload of trial-and-error kind of stuff. I don't know what I'm doing — which is why I started this thread. It's more of a continual reference for me and very much less of a "how to".
I'm planning on building/rebuilding components without having to pull the originals off my rig to do it. That is to say: I'm currently on the hunt for some axles to work on so I don't immobilize my beloved TJ should I happen to have a major eff-up!
1/5/20: Should I consider upgrading from a 42RLE transmission? Additional comments about upgrades to help the 42RLE included.
