Hi everyone,

Regretfully, I am selling my 2005 Jeep Wrangler X, 4.0L, V6, automatic. I bought the Jeep about 2 years ago with 100k on the odometer from a gentlemen that owned it for about 10 years. In my ownership I have put 4k miles on it and it currently has about 104,200 miles. Overall, it has been super rock solid for me and has never let me down. Mechanically, I have not had ANY issues with it. Everything works as it should, including heat, A/C, cruise control, 4x4 (high and low), shifts smoothly (automatic) etc. I actually just went on a 3 hour road trip with it over the weekend and it performed great. Cosmetically, the paint has seen better days, but most importantly the frame is in great conditions with no rust. The Jeep sits on newer 33 inch Mikey Thompsons Baja MTZ tires and a 4.5 inch lift. I’m selling the jeep as I also own a Jeep JL and most of my time is spent there

The Jeep comes with the factory hardtop & soft top, as well as the full doors and half doors with matching uppers.

The Jeep has been well maintained in the time I have owned it. In my research of owning a TJ, I decided to do preventative maintenance to it:

-New brake pads and rotors ($600)
-Changed oil at 101k & 103k
-Changed differential gear oil at 103k
-Changed battery June 2020
-Replaced oil sending unit
-Replaced spark plugs June 2020
-Flushed engine coolant at 101k
-Coolant system overhaul - includes new OEM radiator, hoses, new OEMwater pump, and fan clutch ($1300)
-Replaced leak down detection pump ($250)
-Replaced fuel pump OEM Bosch ($200)

Again, the list above was all preventative maintenance items as I researched what common issues were on this year Jeep.

I’ve also spend spent some time getting the Jeep some extra goodies:

-Regeared Jeep from 3.71 to 4.56 (Revolution gears- drives great on the highway)($1300)
-M/T Mickey Thompson 33 inch tires ($1300)
-Pioneer Radio w/Bluetooth ($100)
-Replaced stock headlights with LED’s ($100)
-Replaced metal AUX light bracket for included light bar ($100)
-Smittybilt 10k synthetic winch ($500)
-Corbeau front seats and brackets ($650)
-Rear tailgate Tuffy enclosure ($200)
-Rancho rs5000x shocks ($230)
-Replaced stock mechanical transfer case shifter with a Saavy cable shifter ($170)

Great looking Jeep! I'm not far from you. Any interest in selling just the half doors and uppers? The rest of the Jeep will sell for the same price regardless of whether you have extra doors or not. Thanks for considering it!

That’s absolutely not true. Considering half doors are so rare now and bring in $800 on average, having both tops AND both sets of doors will drive a sale so much quicker.

Hi there,

Thanks for the interest but I prefer to keep the half doors with the Jeep sale. I am hoping having both sets of doors will peak some buyers interest. Thanks

Maybe so. I just haven't seen it. I've been chit-chatting with a guy who has an old TJ for sale who isn't working very hard on the sale, and he doesn't get any bites because it's a beat up Jeep with very high mileage. But yet he has these perfect half doors. The half doors have real value, the Jeep is sorta ehhh. I don't think he's going to drive a premium on the price keeping the half doors attached to the sale. But maybe in the case of this thread, it could add a bit more value to sell with the Jeep.

Thanks. If I come across a buyer that prefers the full doors or does not need the half doors I’ll be sure to come your way
