Have I got a doozy of a case here.
2005 LJR, has been running A1, no known issues with the fuel system before. I drove it the evening before with no issues.
I go to start it yesterday morning, no dice. Cranks over but doesn’t catch. Sprayed some quick start in the intake and it runs, but only so long as I’m spraying it into the throttle. I cannot hear the fuel pump turning on.
I check all fuses and swap relays. Everything’s good there.
Drop the fuel tank, fuel lines have no pressure in them. I check with my multimeter the fuel pump electrical connector tabs 1 (ground) and 4 (pump power from relay) and it gets 12V for 2 seconds when the key is put in the run position, as it should. Issue must be with the fuel pump right?
I grab a 9V battery and some leads and hook up plugs 1 and 4 on the pump. Fuel pump kicks on and dumps gas on my driveway.
I go back and double check the voltage from the jeep. Still 12V, but my multimeter is saying there’s only .32 mA being pushed through those lines.
Any advice or idea as to what could be causing this issue? I’d like to be driving the LJ again.
