Just picked up a 2005 Rubicon, jeep is mostly original except for tires/wheels. 69k miles and in really good shape. Looking for some advice on a lift kit, nothing crazy maybe a 2-3" with some nice shocks for a decent ride. Mostly will ride in Florida, sand, some mud.

Thanks

What size tires do you plan to run and what do you plan to do with it?

Keeping the 33's that are on it. Mostly running woods trails in sand and some mud

You said you want something in the 2-3" range. By your pictures, if the current tires are 33" you already have a 3-4" lift installed.

My thoughts exactly and to add...it looks like a RC 2.5 lift. I see the infamous silver spring peaking out at us...

Not that the RC isn't capable for what the OP is doing. Shocks are a eye of the beholder type of thing.

Perhaps the Jeep is good as is. Sometimes less is more...as in don't do something just to do it.
