Ok this is what is going on. When the jeep is cold the issue is still present but not as bad. I really have to mash on the breaks to make the jeep stall out. After the jeep heats up I can can put a little extra pressure on the breaks and it stalls out. Sometimes the rpm will drop to 0 and then come back to normal and not stall, but most of the time it just stalls out. The way I drive is to shift to neutral releases the clutch then break. Any other ideas myself and one mechanic are at a loss?

Things I have had changed. IAC, TPS, throttle body BBK, crank position sensor, purge valve, smoke test and vacume is holding at -15, injectors, plugs, ignition coil, fuel pressure steady at 50, power brake booster was not replaced but it was tested. Other than throttle body all parts are mopar

The new BBK was to see if the issue was the old, stock, TB. I also have the TB spacer off right now. I read some forms where they were causing problems with older model tj so I thought I would try it.

You need to determine what is being lost that causes the engine to stall while hitting the brakes...
Is it fuel, spark or ???
I wonder if you are losing the 5V reference voltage by it briefly shorting to ground through a chafed wire.
Check the harness that goes around the back of the valve cover which is know to sometimes come in contact with a head bolt near the firewall on the drivers side.

I will look for the wiring harness behind the valve cover. I read another post that said the wiring harness behind the battery going into the computer wore through. I checked that area and i did not find any issues.

I am starting to think this is electrical and not part related

Did you ever figure it out? I am having similar problems on my 97 TJ, just wanted to know where to start looking if you figured it out
