2006 unlimited owner

I just joined the group. I have a 2006 unlimited in typical Minnesota condition. Kind of rusty on the edges but mechanically in good shape for its 159,xxx miles.

I have had it for several years and used it as a daily driver in the past but now it is a spare vehicle for weekends around the farm.

I was looking at another truck at a local used car lot they offered 7000 for trade in. on one hand I was surprised it was worth that much but wanted to ask experts if I could do better selling it outright?

I will probably end up keeping it but after the dealer made an offer I started to wonder what’s it worth

You mentioned rust, which is the biggest concern with these. But LJs in good condition can bring a lot more then KBB. Depending on how bad your rust is, you could bring in a lot more then 7k.

I’m also in MN and have 2 ‘06 LJ’s.

If it’s rusty then $7k is pretty good. Post up some pictures.

If it’s just a little rusty then it’s worth a lot more.

I’ll be selling rust free fenders and hood off one of mine in the next couple of months.
