Hi everyone. I need to replace the small section of hose that the arrow is pointing to in my pic. It's of course in a super tight space on top of the gas tank. Has anyone ever replaced this and did you have to drop the tank to do it? Also, it seems to have some special kind of connector on the end that attaches to the vent on top of the gas tank. Anyone know how to detach that without destroying it? I don't think it just pulls right off. I wasn't sure if there was a method to getting it off properly.

If the hose is just cracked or broken I'd find some silicone vacuum line the correct size and use that to repair the broken section. You can get pretty much any size on ebay for a few dollars. I think you have to drop the tank. Those clips are difficult to work with, if you break the little plastic retainer clip there's a Dorman kit with a few different sizes that isn't expensive. If you repair the line it's possible you wont have to disconnect it.
