I like that 4-door version quite a bit. Looks way better than the JLU in my opinion.

Meh, I’m happy with IFS in my other rigs at this point. I have a TJ to get the most travel out of and a 4Runner to do more mild stuff. Marlin Crawler just debuted their new IFS that will handle big tires and articulate damn good for the new yota’s.
I’d buy one for $45k and do moderately easy stuff. Hell I wouldn’t spend $50k on a new JL and take it to Johnson valley. My pockets don’t go that deep!
Oh and my wife is obsessed with these. We have always dreamed of a EB but not a practical DD.
she even mentioned selling her T4R and it’s her dream vehicle that I spent the last 3 years building. Ugh!!! I told her tonight she has to wait for final product and at least two years for aftermarket to catch-upbecause we don’t drive stock rigs.
And if the 2.7 eco is going in...OH MY. I drive a 3.5 eco in a f150 now and with or without a tune, holy hell does it rock!!!!!!

With the majority of people who drive JLs the way they do (on-road only) it makes sense they would go IFS, as it's going to be much better on-road than the SFA.
But I get what you're saying... for the serious off-road guys, the SFA is the better choice. Of course just you wait. I give it a year before someone has a SFA under it.
Oh yes, a SEMA rig will have a Dynatrac prorock under it with coil overs and an atlas II.
2.7 V6 twin turbo, 315s stock, IFS (better for the people only driving them on-road).
With those specs alone they've already outdone Jeep.
For the person who wants a "cool SUV" (which is the majority of JKU and JLU drivers), this is a much better option than a Wrangler in my mind.

Yes if they have the 315’s stock...oh my. I see a built 4Runner for sale to replace our overland rig!!!
The 2 door just looks off to me. If it was my money I'd buy the 4 door jeep. Sure IFS is great but the new jeeps drive sooo much better than our TJ's. I can't imagine the bronco will have even half the aftermarket support the jeep does. The biggest pro of the bronco will be the power. My guess is they will market it more like a raptor, desert runner, then a hardcore crawler like jeep does.
The renders were not too far off, looks like.
The 4 door will greatly tempt potential JLU buyers (and some portion of the current owners unhappy with the steering issues) if they price it appropriately. Factory 35s is nuts.
Along with the "baby" Bronco that'll compete with Renegade, it clearly looks like Ford is going after FCA for these market segments. Will be interesting to see the FCA response.
