The sewers of Newer Mexico!
So I was fortunate enough to track one of these down, got a really good out the door price and drove a couple hundred to pick it up. Been adding a few creature comforts to it and have been having a lot of fun riding it around. I’m getting lots of looks and comments from people who had one of the original CT 110’s. I had a 71 and a 72 at one time. Loved em!
Anyway getting ready to head up to cooler climate next week and going to take it along. 7 days of fly fishing the Conejos River and riding around Platoro Colorado! It was 103 here yesterday, 69 in Platoro, 46 at night, can’t wait! 😎 no cell service, no internet, no TV, no problem!

Its very unfortunate that they didn't keep the 2 speed "transfer case" - otherwise I'd be all over this. Had a '75 CT90K6. The 110 didn't come out until a few years later. Hopefully the new version has a more capable electrical system, the 90's was "just barely"! I wish I'd never sold the thing - it was like a 2 wheeled truck, and often got used as one!

So I found out that Europe and Japan won't register motorcycles unless they have some type of ABS which the new CT has on the front. Honda couldn't figure out the ABS while using two different gears ratios with the two speed gear box. I didn't buy one in 2020 or 2021 because of that but did pick up the modified engine version in 2023. I haven't missed the lower gears yet, but I'm sure I will at some point. It is still a blast to ride!

Oh FFS. The Cradle-to-grave, womb-to-tomb socialist liberal Nanny State (tm) strikes again! Its a world wide phenomenon!

I agree with the sentiment but Honda is a $100B corporation; if they wanted to figure it out they could have. They just don't believe there's enough demand to justify the higher price point.

Fun times were had by my Dad and I in the late '60's and early '70's with my ST50 and his ST70. I was 11 in '69 when he bought them. We spent our summers in the SoCal mtns. and winters in the upper and lower deserts. And quite a few of those trips were "don't tell Mom we did this" stories.
Now it's my TJ with the A/C and heater. And the "I'm not telling my wife about this" stories.
