Obviously I know where the dipstick is. My question is reall around hich bolt location on the bell housing does the dipstick tube bolt into?
im struggling with how deep into the trans it should go. I had it in too deep and while it didn’t leak, it wobbled because it wasn’t bolted down. I took it out & re-inserted it to a depth that would allow it to bolt into the hole I *think* it should go in, it may be weeping a tiny amount. In order for it to make it to the next hole, I feel like it would bottom out on the pan and the o-ring wouldn’t be in the hole anymore...but if I knew I wouldn’t be asking.
Also: anybody have a link to where I can get a replacement dipstick o-ring? Mine may have had it, and the harbor freight sampler has one that is close, but not identical. Those are metric sizes, fwiw.
