3rd Brake Light Question

I recently bought a “ring of fire” 3rd brake light for my 02 TJ. I have it mounted to my swing arm tire carrier, which is separate from the actual rear door of the Jeep. I have it wired down the carrier and through the door, to the terminal-it works! But it also means I have to be super careful with opening the carrier a bit, then the door, then opening them together so I don’t pull the wiring too much.

Is there an easier way to do this/am I missing something?

Run your wiring all the way down and around the outside of the mounting bearing.
It can be tight since that's the longest the wire will ever have to be.

Put the stock carrier back on (or re-route the wire).
