4.0 making squealing / squeaking noises

I’m new to forums and have never used one so bare with me. I recently noticed a squeaking/squealing noise coming from the front of the engine, and it does it while idling but but eventually stops after driving like if I’m driving and put it in neutral or push the clutch in it stops but when I’m in gear and pushing the gas it squeaks, I can’t tell if it gets faster or not and I know for sure it’s coming from the front of the engine and not under the Jeep. I have a gates belt which is a month old. I changed the idler pulley, and the tensioner but to my surprise the noise was still there. So I started looking around and thought I heard something coming from the ac compressor so I changed the clutch bearing and that didn’t fix it, and I don’t want to go around buying parts. If anyone may know what could be going please let me know.

That is one of the bearings, try to change the idler pulley as well.

Good news is, Napa has a good return policy.

When I was chasing a squeal, I bought new pulleys and even a new alternator. Swapped in the parts till the squeal stopped. Returned what I didn’t need.

That's got to either be the belt, idler puller, or alternator pulley bearings if you ask me.

Any small coolant leaks also noticed?

Could also be a water pump going bad... that's true.

I’m having the exact same noise and issue with my 04 TJ 4.0. I also replaced tensioner, idler pulley. Water and power steering pump is less than 1 year old and good. So is belt. Only thing I didn’t replace is the alternator and it doesn’t sound like it’s coming from the alternator. Did anyone ever find a solution?

Get a mechanic's stethoscope. You might check the distributor/camshaft synchronizer/oil pump drive assembly (depending on what year TJ you have). I have a 2000, and I spent a while tracking down a sound like yours until I replaced the camshaft synchronizer.

Thanks for the recommendation. I actually took off the belt, super down the belt and all the pulleys, put it back on and the noise was much quieter! I kept adjusting the location of the belt on the fan/ water pump and my noise decreased to nothing and now everything sounds good! It helps when you have mostly new parts.
