Anyone know of a 4:1 Conversion for the NP231 That will allow me to be at any RPM? Not that I wanna drive around in low at 4K RPM but if I get into something that is worse than it looked I would like to not have to worry about it or destroy my transfer case.

I had that kit in a 91 yj. Just like Jerry said it doesn't like high rpm. However what they are talking about is travelling at max speed in low range and top gear. I never had,a reason to do that.

I'm in South Florida and today when I was in high the engine was bogging in the sand and I couldn't get through and in low I wouldn't be able to keep my momentum below 3K rpm because I just didn't have the torque.

I know regearing is a probably a better solution but I really like my 23 MPG on the highway and 16-17 around town

This is the exact scenario that TeraFlex warns about. It is because with the kit and higher speed the gears are moving at insane rpms.

Yeah I was hoping to get a better crawl ratio since I do 2-3 out of state wheeling trips a year but oh well
