hi all,

New poster but I have read a lot on this forum and taken your advice. I recently bought a new TJ is has a rubicon express long arm lift 5.5 inch. It also has front coil spacers about 2.5 inches with rear coil spacer about 1.3/4 inches. Here is my question:

If I remove the spacers will I need to adjust my pinion angle?

If I remove the spacers and replace my 5.5 coils with 4.5 will I need to adjust pinion angle and anything else.

Thanks

Yes. Plus your shocks may be too long, drive shafts may be too long depending on what the previous owner did. That's the problem when buying something so modified.

Welcome to the forum!

A few things need adjusted such as pinion angle, trackbars, and will definately need an alignment when it is all done. Sway bar links might need shortened as well.

Measure the height of the springs as they sit now. I suspect you may already have the 4.5" springs and rather than buy springs for the 5.5, the PO just added spacers.
