I got the derale direct fit auxiliary tranny cooler for my 2006 LJ and read the writeup @Jerry Bransford wrote but Derale has since changed things a bit and I was a littler confused by his post. The line I need to remove is the one on the drivers side NOT the one near the coolant petcock on the radiator? The picture said otherwise which is what confused me. Also, the fittings on my radiator are the quick disconnects so I wanted to change them out for a barb fitting so the hoses from the derale kit can connect to the radiator tranny cooler. Does anybody know the thread size? I attached a picture of the piece i’m trying to replace.

I have the same issue. Don't know if you have figured out a solution, but I've read that removing these fittings can sometimes cause internal leaks in the radiator cooler — since they can sometimes be what internally fastens the cooler to the radiator tank.
These can fit in the quick disconnect fittings and take a hose on the other end.

I ended up unthreading the piece and bringing it in to try and find a barb fitting. No luck, ended up threading back in the quick release fitting and took my brake line tube cutter and did what that piece basically does. Because the metal line was so long there was enough room to cut it in half and be able to attach both derale hoses to each end. I will try to take a picture of everything in case someone stumbles across this thread in the future. I was going to flare the ends like you would a brake line so the lines wouldn't fall off but the hoses clamped down securely so there was no need.
