Want to congratulate my good friend Sergio from the SpiderWebShade team and MatteBlack (The TJ) for making it to the 50th SCORE Baja 1000. If anyone could do this Sergio can. I have known him since he was teen and he is one hell of a driver in any terrain. I remember many years ago we were taking a group of Jeepers from a local club on a ride thought a local management area and we decided to race each other on the way back. Through sand mud and water he made it look easy. Anyways congrats to Sergio, SpiderWebShade and all his sponsors including Savvy Off Road for getting MatteBlack race ready.
Well Sergio is now out of the race. He had completed the worst part of the course and was doing catching up when he approached a previous fatal accident. Attempting to go around it they were hit at high speed by another driver and sent tumbling down. They are ok and i am sure he will be back next year.
