just a heads up- I'm new at this and have worked my way thru a ton of stuff, I'm figuring it out as i go
I have a 97 tj 4cyl/2.5liter SE 180k mi

Long story..
Vehicle began running very inefficiently, smelling heavily of gas and was producing black soot out of the exhaust. I scanned it and got 3 codes : p0171, p107, p0133.

p0171 - Fuel trim system Lean
p0107 - MAP sensor low Input
p0133 - O2 Circuit slow response

The print out suggested injectors, which made some sense (stuck open injector). I replaced the injectors, the gas smell was gone and fuel efficiency/power was much better.

10 days later a Check Engine Light came on. Scanned it: p0171 & p0133 again. Replaced upstream sensor with an NKT O2 sensor.

3 days later the vehicle bogged down 3 minutes into ride, having no power, running very rough and having a hard time starting back up. Scanned it and a p0340 code came back.

p0340 - Camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction.

Thinking I might replace the distributor next.

Has anyone else had this experience?
