i bought my 98 tj with a 5.9l jeep grand cherokee motor and transmission that had already been swapped in gear. Guy said it wouldnt shift out of first and needed solenoid in trans so i went ahead and replaced all solenoids speed sensors and tps sensor, turns out jeep is actually shifting but rpms do not drop. If i drive down the road and let off and 4k rpm jeep cruises as its in 3rd or sencond gear and if i manually shift it to first jeep shifts to first and rpms drop with the pace of the vehicle slowing down. Also if i let of at 4k or any rpm and go back into it jeep acts as if its in neutral(only in d or 2 ) in 1 it will not act as its in neutral. So long story short. Jeep shifts but rpms dont match with the shift points only allowing me to go 25 mph. Help!
