The tailgate seal on my TJ is no longer in the plastic channel on the bottom of the tailgate. It sticks out and gets pinched when I close the tailagte.
I purchased a replacement from Omix-Ada, however it is about an inch too long on the sides, so the push buttons do not line up:

Should I attempt to reattach the seal I have with weather-strip adhesive (I've never had success with this stuff) or has someone purchased a replacement that does fit the TJ?
