My a/c has not worked in about a year but worked great before my compressor belt rubbed a hole in the metal line. I got all the parts replaced and the new low pressure switch is a three wire with the existing being a two wire. I assumed the third wire could be ignored however I keep blowing fuse seven in the glove box panel which gives power to the a/c relay. I tried swapping relays around with no results. I figure I need the two wire switch but thought I would ask in case there is an easy fix. Any insight from the community is greatly appreciated.

Nothing like posting an issue to get the troubleshooting skills sharpened. So yes you can use the three wire clutch pressure switch ignoring the signal connection. However you cannot have a short in a reverse light wire which blows the #7 fuse in the dash and expect the a/c to work. I just assumed it was the switch because that was the project underway and the issue was not there prior. A/C working like a champ and the wire is fixed. Time to go break something else.....
