Is it a ground wire on the headlight switch?

I finally got around to replacing my headlight switch which I would say was pretty darn easy. With that being said, the old switch had a wire attached to the switch housing. The new switch does not have a blade attached to the housing to plug that wire in.

Any advice? What is this wire for?

Works perfectly without it attached.

Did you purchase your part at the local auto parts store ?
Not advisable to purchase Chinese knock off parts....
A lot of the Jeeps electrical replacement parts are better sourced as Mopar OEM
The Crown replacement 56009869AB has that terminal which appears to be a ground.
