A Samurai Guy's Take on a TJ

Took the Rubi out over the weekend and up some mild trails (never left 2wd High) and found that the suspension is lacking like I suspected it would be. 100% need a bit more travel, we were getting pretty jostled on a few sections of roads that were all rock the size of grapefruits. It wouldn't be bad at all if it stayed off the bump stops in the front. Its got about 1.5" before the stock snubbers start to touch the pads. So a little more travel and a set of sway bar disconnects are the next things on the list. Also had to go rescue my buddy out in the desert as well, he was dragging his offroad trailer with him coming back from hunting and had his bumper break off from fatigue. On that late night adventure I found that the lighting is woefully bad.
I have a I did get a nice shot of it though!

Alright, so a couple mods have been added. I tossed on a light bar, some pods, and a winch. Wheeling at night is MUCH more pleasant now. After getting the lights on, I decided to drive up the mountain and see the first(ish) snowfall of the season.

Along with these, I knew I had a rear wheel bearing on its way out. I went ahead and had that replaced by a local shop. The cost is reasonable and being as I don't have a press....

Next, I need to take my spare wheel in and get a tire for it as well. But once all that is handled, I'll be heading to Jarbidge Nevada for a burger.
