ABS engaging at all stops

My TJ with ABS has started exhibiting a strange issue when coming to a complete stop using normal brake pressure, i.e. not hitting them hard. The ABS light is not illuminated on the dash. I recently swapped some rear Yukon shafts which included tone rings. The rear ABS sensor gap is set to 0.042" which is within spec (0.011"-0.059"). I'm not sure why the car thinks it needs to engage the ABS when coming to a stop.

Anybody experience this before and have suggestions on things to investigate or how to fix? Thanks.

Don't have ABS on mine but it almost certainly is due to the computer detecting a wheel lockup.
Do you still have the old drive shafts? If so, I'd swap one back in to see if that "fixes" it. If not, leave that one in and swap out the other (so both are original again). If that does not fix it, then you may have a damaged sensor...I seem to recall reading they they are easy to damage. If it does fix the problem, call Yukon for suggestions on what to try next as it would, at that point, sound like a tone ring problem on one or both shafts.

IJ4FY, I know it's been a while. Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having a similar issue with my 97 TJ. Is it, like mine, a mild pulsing in the brake pedal at slow roll stops? I suspect a wheel sensor issue.
