It's a pretty bad winter here and man I need a rear defroster. My Jeep doesn't have the defrost grid but is otherwise mostly pre-wired, so I ordered a rear window with defroster grid from Morris 4x4. I pulled a center console switch from the junkyard and installed it in the dash. The existing wiring harness extends all the way back to the hard top connector already, up through the hard top to the rubber plugs in rear corners. I pulled them off to find the socket already there, and an empty plastic connector where I believe you are supposed to install a curly wire from the rear window grid. Sadly I can't find the curly wire from any parts supplier.
Here's what I'm looking at. Looks like I could make my own last mile connection, I only need the little pin tab for the connector, and whatever style connector goes to the rear defrost glass (button-on? fast-on?). Does anyone know where to get one of these push-in pins for this connector to finish the job? Anyone have a picture of how the wire connects to the rear defroster grid too?
