The wire on one side of my rear window defroster has come unattached from the clip. I was able to get the clip off but can’t get the wire to stay back in the clip. May need a new clip. So should the defroster still work on the other side of the window or do both sides need to be attached to complete a circuit? Thank you.

I see this was from last week, but both do need to be attached to complete the circuit. What does the loose wire look like? Does it look like the copper strands broke loose, or is there any solder or other metal still intact on the end?

Sorry for not replying sooner. I am technically challenged. Anyway. The wire just fell out and won’t stay back in. Don’t see any solder anywhere. When I take the other side clip off the wire stays in it. I’m thinking maybe there was some part inside the clip that broke off that’s supposed to hold the wire in. Will probably just take it to a Jeep dealer and see if they can fix it. I simply do not know how to get it to stay in the clip, or even how to position it in the clip and I don’t even know how to solder. Thanks again for your reply.
