I'll apologize in advance if this is a dumb question, but is there polarity on the rear window defroster? Does it matter which lead on the defroster grid the 12v power is applied?
I'm installing new rear glass on a recently acquired hardtop. This new glass comes with the defroster however my '97 Sport was not equipped with a defroster or dash switch.
Rather than try and find the correct pin location in the dash for the timer/relay that's supposedly already there, I'm just going to make my own timer circuit and power the defroster coil through a standard power relay.
For reference, the timer board I'm going to use is —> https://www.amazon.com/Delay-Relay-Switch-Module-Timer/dp/B0DQFXT8X6/?tag=wranglerorg-20
and I ordered an OEM switch from DeadJeep.com.
