Hey there fellow jeep enthusiast. I recently acquired a jeep tj. It kind of a project car until i can make it my daily driver. Anyway I put a 2.5 inch lift and 33" tires on it. I got it on the road and quick found out that I barely had power in 4th and had no power what so ever in 5th. After doing some quick research I found out that my gearing is probably not suitable for the size tires i have. So my dad called a buddy that has build jeeps ,and he said i could put a set of axles from a 2.5L inline four-cylinder because the gearing is .410. So my question is can i get away with putting .410 gearing in or should i try something else. I know .456 is a popular gearing ratio but its also something I'm not sure i can do myself. any advice is welcome thanks in advance.
