Figured I'd start a thread to track this in one place and share for anyone interested. My factory steering box on my 99 with 160k miles was toast. I was weighing my options between a stock box and a Durango box. I found an new AGR on eBay from a big jeep parts seller at a really good price so I bit the bullet and ordered it. I got it the next week and just as advertised it was brand new. Installed it and took it to the shop for an alignment. Still had some slight play in the steering wheel but just figured it was a worn steering shaft. Well went to pick it up and the owner of the offroad shop showed me the lateral movement in the sector shaft. Not good. So fast forward to yesterday and called AGR and talked to Big John. He was surprised and asked me what size tires I was running. Talked to him for a few minutes, he said send it in and they would look at it and could probably go ahead and fix it and machine it for double sector shaft bearings for free. I shipped it out today so now it's the waiting game to see what they do, what it's going to cost me and how it works when I get it back. I have a video of the sector shaft movement if I can shrink it enough to upload it I will.

Hopefully they take care of you. It sounds like they are going to, but keep us updated!

Well it appears that all that glitters isn't gold. The gear box that was sold on eBay as new old stock turns out to be 10 years old and needing a complete rebuild. So I've emailed the seller and requested a refund. We will see what happens from here. The bad deal is I had already trashed my original gear box so now I'm going to have to eat a core charge.

So this has been an extremely frustrating ordeal. AGR is impossible to get ahold of, After two weeks of calling and sending emails I finally got ahold of someone to send the gear box back to the ebay seller. The Ebay seller is sticking to their story of the box was in working condition when they shipped it to me. And of course its been long enough its out of the eBay Money back protection guarantee so now Im just waiting to see if the seller is going to refund my money or If I have to get paypal and my Bank involved to get any money back. So moral of the story, be careful buying used jeep parts on eBay even from a seller with a long transaction history and DO NOT buy anything from AGR if you expect timely responses.
