Air conditioning repair help

I’m trying to fix my ac as it’s going to be in the 100’s next week but I have no idea where to start. It blows somewhat cool and I tried to recharge it but it did not work. 98 Sahara 4.0

Need some more info to help out, did you put gauges on the system to re-charge, if so what were the readings. Is the compressor clutch engaging.

Buy an A/C compressor from Amazon it's cheap. Replace the darn assembly and you will be fine.

Mine had a leaking evaporator. I replaced that plus the heater core at the same time. You usually need to charge it fully to find the culprit.

Is the compressor clutch kicking in? If not at all, unplug the low pressure switch on the suction line. Jump the switch with a short wire to see if the compressor will engage. If it does when jumped, replace the switch.
