First Post. I purchased a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport Auto 6 cylinder about a year ago. The check engine light came on during the test ride. Thought it was a simple fix ( that was funny read on). So the seller replaced the air intake sensor. I have a mechanic that works for Lexus and we have been trouble shooting. I took to the dealer to get the dealer computer hooked up to diagnosis and came back with the PCM. I think they also replace the air intake sensor 3rd time. They wanted like 1800 to replace. I am cheap and not going to pay that much. So I ordered one online for about 300.00 and my mechanic put it in. I think it ran fine for a while and might have been during the cooler months. Check engine light back on and when really hot ( live in Florida) If I drive 30 minutes and let it sit and then start it up it runs really ruff for a couple minutes ( like and old lawn mower when you first crank it) and then fine when up to speed but light is still on. I took it to another mechanic and change the plugs wires and coil. Next day light back on and running ruff Now that is cooler ( below 90 degrees) the check engine light just went off. been driving a couple day and still off. My one mechanic think wiring harness. I think maybe PCM still but not sure. Don't mind paying the money just would like it fixed afterwards. Thanks for any help and suggestions. this is like my 5th jeep
