Airbags

Ran into one Thanksgiving. We were outside after dinner. He looked up to see a jet contrail and proceeded to tell me how it was the Government Liberals spraying us to turn us into Liberals. My ribs still hurt from my Wife’s elbow when she saw me start to engage with him. Lots of crazy folk in the Az desert.

Well, if that was the case for me, I would tell them that I can't drive them without a seatbelt because I wouldn't want their death on my conscience.

I was wondering if a front bumper is aftermarket and thick enough to mount a winch onto does that affect the airbags in any way? I’m wondering if the thickness of the bumper would trigger the airbag in an accident. I don’t know how airbags work on my 2000 Wrangler so if anyone could answer this I would really appreciate it.

But here is the kicker. We don't know what our full life expectancy is.

Man may say it's 80yrs but how do you know?

I almost died in a car wreck at 35, wasn't buckled up. Was ejected from the vehicle, concussion, broke bones etc. Why did I live?

My oldest son died in a single car accident at 16 1/2yrs, was buckled up wasn't ejected, but still died.

So what is a full life???

Living like tomorrow will never come, because it's not a guarantee, and Living with no regrets for the choices we have made, because once made you can't undo them.

I believe there should be laws protecting people from other people , such as :
People texting while driving .
People reading newspapers or books while driving .
People watching tv while driving .

When operating a motor vehicle on public roads , the attention should be on safely operating that motor vehicle .

What I don't believe in is the government passing laws to protect me from myself .
We should have the freedom to choose the safety devices we want to use as long as it doesn't endanger someone else . I realize some safety devices have been invented because the schools and colleges no longer teach common sense . Owners manuals used to give instructions on setting valves and rebuilding the engine , now they warn you not to drink the battery acid .

Or putting on mascara or other makeup while driving. I've seen it!
