Sounds like I got rear bearing that occasionally howls on my alternator- spray some lune and I van go another two weeks.

Anyone cracked these open before- easy enough to trassemble? Think some grease and I am good to go if it's as easy as the older self regulated delco remy.

We're confused now.

curiosity killed the cat?🤔

Took a detour from mowing and wanted to confirm the alternator number... turned into a deeper dive into what one would need for tools- turns out I have the tools...so my cheap side comes out and say lets just work a little grease into those bearings and see what happens. too dark to mow now but its all back together.

ps: you will need a small puller to get the shaft out of the rear bearing.
