Been trying to diagnose poor reception. Took antenna mount off fender and disconnected coax. Measured coax center resistance and it has zero. Measures open from center to ground. The fender mount read 3.5 ohms center pin to tip of antenna. Cleaned antenna base and whip threads. Whip reads 0 ohms from threads to tip.
Measured mount from center pin to threads and got 3.5 ohms.
My question is:
Does anyone know what the resistance should be or can someone with a newer/ good reception measure theirs to give us a base line reading?
